Android 7, notifications turn off when I close the app/reboot the phone.

Hi.  I have no trouble with notifications turning on...and they work fine until I close the fitbit app(in the open app list) or reboot my phone. Then i have to re-enable them which includes toggling the permissions for fitbit notification service in android.  Then they work again until i force close or reboot.

I've tried clearing cache, restarting device, cycling bluetooth, reinstalling fitbit even after resetting the phone and starting from scratch it does it.

Anyone else?

Have you enabled Fitbit notifications?

Yes of course.  They work fine until I reboot and then I have to re-enable as I said.

This kind of happens to me also. First on Android 10 and now on 11. I turn on notifications on Android system, and on the fitbit app everything looks good, no warning messages, and notifications work fine. A couple of hours later I have a red warning in the "notifications" section of the fitbit app saying I have to enable permissions. So I go to android settings and although the permissions are still enabled, I have to turn them off and on again for the red warning to disappear on the fitbit app. And I have to do this every couple of hours...

I've tried reseting phone and watch and turning Bluetooth in and off, and it keeps happening.

I find that turning Bluetooth off also disables notifications.
