App logging different hr than watch shows

Yesterday I exercised and my heart rate reached 160 for about 3 minutes. I stopped and manually tested my pulse and it was accurate, however the app says my heart barely reached 140 for 5 seconds and then show it staying much lower. Why would the app log different info than the watch collected?

Hi Zwar,

Are you looking at the 24/7 heart rate graph,or the specific exericse activity?   I believe the 24/7 graph takes averages based on a certain time period, whereas the exercise graph will show the max heart rate.

The exercise graph is what I'm referring to. The data collected is incorrect.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SunsetRunner! 🙂 Is this the graph you are refering to?

If you are this is a 5 minute average of your heart rate as @adammiarka mentioned. If you are not sure I would appreciate if you can post a screenshot of your graph so I can further assist you.

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
