Balze - battery last no longer than half day

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with my Blaze's battery life. It does not last longer than half a day. I have the watch for about 6-8 months and until now I was using an Apple charger, the battery was lasting 4-5 days. With the same charger after I fully it's charged battery lasts only 5-6h. I have tried at least 4-5 different plug chargers and also USB 2 and 3  from my laptop and the battery depletes in maximum 12h.

Any suggestions? Has anybody encountered the same issue and how did you solve it?

Thank you.

@Cip_2018, check your settings for heart rate monitor. See if it is set to on. If so set it to auto. Also may want to check to see if all day sync is on. If it’s on, reset it to off.

Hi Aclobos,

The rate was on automatic and the settings for autosync were as default, all day. I will try and see if it is working. However, I consider that with the default setting which were in the application and with which was working for the past 6-8 months it should have been working these days as well.

Thank you.

@Cip_2018, I have turned my all day sync off because I noticed my phone battery was not holding up. And I set my heart rate monitor to auto. I’ve had my blaze for 1 1/2 years and I have to charge every five days. I do go to the gym 5 days a week and I use the monitoring functions ( workout, treadmill, weights, fitstar, running). I’m not sure how much battery life gets used when using them. I’m happy with 5 days of battery life. I would call customer support before your warranty runs out. If you have been using the defaults until now then I would guess your battery life has gone bad.

@Cip_2018, say have you checked your contacts on your blaze? Here is a link from Fitbit website. They talk about cleaning the contacts for Fitbit devices.

Aclobos thank you for your time and patience,

I have cleaned the watched a couple of times already. From electrical point of view this should not affect the life of the battery, it should affect how long it take for the battery to charge ... Once my battery is fully charged, which it takes the same amount of time as when the watch was working perfectly, it holds for a short period of time.

Thank you again,
