Battery Life

Had my Blaze for 2 years in May. Battery always been good 4-5 days life.

Noticed in last couple of weeks its more like 2-3 days and now its dropped to less than 2 days.

Have turned off everything to make it last longer...

Just thinking that it may be wearing out, so is this standard and I am supposed to be thinking about replacement or is there a way of getting to the battery and replacing it?

I'm having the SAME issue. All of a sudden, too.

Did you get a response?

Not yet but have now seen that many others raised same issue.

Also looked on Google, there's replacement batteries available for around £25, but it looks a bit tricky doing the swap.

Seems that all tech nowadays only lasts 2 years (my phone is also on its way out)

Having the same issues.   I truly believe its software related.

I haven't gotten my heart rate in over 2 weeks when my Blaze was in Auto mode. Worked just fine in On mode, but that drained the battery FAST.

Yesterday, I updated my iPhone operating software, then reloaded the updated Fitbit app (which Fitbit had updated about 3 days prior).   My Blaze is now taking my heart rate just fine in Auto mode, but the battery drained from full to empty in 4 hours last night, just wearing it around the house.

Fitbit needs to test their software better.   There is no excuse for this, but stuff like this happens regularly when they do updates, and I find I have to wait a week or so for them to straighten it out.

Here's hoping my battery lasts long enough so I don't have to charge it 4 times a day.   3 weeks ago, I was only charging it every 2 days.

Thanks for answering, will definitely check that my app is up to date.

Wouldn't it be great if everything just "worked" 😉

Hope your Blaze managed more than 4hrs

Had my fitbit blaze for about a month now and was just using it to record steps and whatnot because I didn't have the strap til last week. On one charge/full charge it lasted me 3to4 days even when recording workouts/funs. After i updated the Fitbit and switched to fitbit premium the dam thing doesn't last more then half a day, even with the heart rate tracker off, dim setting on and not turning on when turning/lifting my wrist. The thing is an absolute piece of **ahem** now and it happened right after i got premium membership and started wearing it on my wrist strap.

Hi, plenty of feedback on the forum.

Best tips are too uninstall and reinstall fitbit app on your phone.

Turn off the stay connected feature and see what happens.

Mine fully charged on Friday morning just went back on charge now.

So, 3 days with plenty of activities (walking dogs, Joe Wicks 😂, gardening and a full home gym session every day)

Am happy with 3 days battery life but I think that fitbit want us to buy the next model, so they aren't built to last. But it's not just fitbit, my Samsung phones performance deteriorated after 15 months and at 2 years it was pretty much useless.

Am very keen to get a bit more use from this Blaze, but the temptation to change to a Charge or Ionic.. .

Hey, how did you get on? Better battery life now?

I have been using fitbit since they first started and have always been brand loyal, suits my lifestyle and needs.

Would be interested to hear how you got on.

My battery just gave me exactly 3 days life after updating app and turning off the always connected 👍

So, no real change in performance.

If the Blaze is set to Auto mode, it won't pick up a heart rate.   If I set the heart rate to On, it picks up the heart rate just fine, but burns through the battery in about 3.5 hours.   Because it can pick up the heart rate, that clearly indicates to me that this is a software issue and is not my actual hardware.

Today, I'll remove the Fitbit app, forget the Blaze, do a shutdown on the watch and then start from scratch again.  Maybe there's been a software update?   I'm always hopeful.

Been wearing a Blaze since 2016, so I've seen this many, many times.   Had this one since 2017 when the last one suddenly refused to charge.

exactly the same problems as well. Never had a problem with my blaze holding charge, normally get 4-5 days and I've had it years. Now, since the update I'm lucky to get half a day. Normally once it sync's the battery drops from 100% to 25%.

Trying re installing app now, fingers crossed.

I raised this with fitbit via online chat, they did a battery depletion test and then said my battery was faulty prior to the download, have 25% discount code for a new one and when I questioned this the agent disconnected the call. Great customer service.

I really think that 2 years is about as much as they can work for. It's not just Fitbit, it's all tech, it's built to be replaced regularly. 😔
