Battery and swiping issues

When I first got my Blaze after black Friday it wasn't holding a charge and not giving me notifications after looking into it was S8 and Blaze not playing nice via updates with each other. A few weeks ago I started to get the notifications and the battery life was the same as my past Charge 2. So I had no issues.

 

Till a few days ago my touchscreen was acting up, not recognizing I'm touching or swiping the screen and even flashing the time. I first thought maybe my screen protector was causing the issues so I removed it, nothing changed so I put a new one on so I didn't damage the screen. I've since shut down the Blaze and restarted it. I've checked to make sure I have the most UTD update and restarted my phone. Since the screen has been acting up the battery is acting up again not even holding a charge for 12 hours. The battery died on me while I was sleeping and I took it off the charger before going to bed.  The Blaze is in charger correctly and I'm hearing the Snap sound when putting it in and I've even changed the plug to make sure the outlet was working. The battery icon or the green lights on the back are  even showing. Is there a chance I have a lemon or am I doing something wrong?
