Fitbit Update: 09/3/2017
Our team is still actively investigating the root cause of this battery drain with Blaze and the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. I'm sorry that many of you are still having issues with a shorter battery life, but rest assured this is being looked at as high-priority for our team. My apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you all for your patience! I will provide an update as soon as there is more information available. In the meantime, please continue manually syncing your Blaze trackers only when needed. This will help preserve the battery-life.
Fitbit Update: 08/14/2017
Hi everybody!
Thanks for reporting your experiences with a rapid battery drain on Blaze trackers and your Android device - Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. Our team is aware this is affecting Blaze users and they are investigating the root cause. I will update this thread when there is more information available.
As a temporary workaround, turn OFF "Always Connected" and the "All-Day sync" features. Make sure to manually sync your devices at least once a day.
Thanks for your patience!

I'm having issues with my Blaze battery draining. I have an iPhone 7. It is taking forever to charge. I've cleaned it with alcohol, it just started this today. And it was fine while I was working out but a few hours later it died. It won't keep a charge now. Also the green HR lights stay on when I have the HR setting off.

How is this going... I gave up on Fitbit until I heard this had been resolved. Do I need to refresh anything? Is it firmware related so I need to wait for a firmware update? I was having issues with bluetooth audio stuttering with the Fitbit app installed and running. I am using a Samsung S8+.
I tried installing it yesterday and still have bluetooth audio stuttering issues with Fitbit installed a Blaze paired. I will try again.
Any advice appreciated.

I've found turning always connected off but leaving all day sync on has stopped the audio issue.
currently waiting to see how this affects battery life I'm now on day 2 since my last charge.

It is currently not acknowledged by FitBit to even be an issue, so probably never. Especially since they want you to upgrade to the Ionic now.

If you update your phone, then you will be able to sync (pair). An update was just released two days ago. I've been charging my blaze every night, when I charge my phone.

Add me to the list as well, I have a Nexus 6P and it received the Oreo 8 update. Now my notifications don't work and I need to charge my Blaze every single day so it's not just a Samsung issue.

I have an Iphone 6S. I have also had a draining issue as well. This started last Sunday. My battery life was 4 days. It's now a day or 2. Also, my activity is not syncing. I had the chrono face. I tried switching to a new face, but it only helped a little. So,it's not just the Galaxy with this issue. Also, I have had my Blaze since they first came out, so it may not even be a new Blaze issue.

It has nothing to do with the phone update either; the update doesn't change anything. My phone pairs and will sync but the notifications don't work.
If this continues I will be leaving Fitbit and going to the Samsung smartwatch. At least I can get the notifications, which is essential to me since it's for safety and security with my job.

This worked for me after the update:
From the fitbit app on your phone
Click blaze underneath devices
Click notifications underneath general
Click app notifications, and then click the apps you would like to receive notifications from.
I hope this helps!!!

This is how I got the notifiction to work,
After I have connected my Blaze with my phone, I setup notifications for thoose apps I would like to have notifications from. I then forced Blaze to sync. Did a test of notifications from the dot-menu in Blaze (notifications settings),the notification was instant. Then I just waited, and in about 24 hours, plus/minus some hours it's was up and running.
But yes, from time to time I need to turn notification off and on, on my Blaze, otherwise it just stops.
So for me, the notifications works okey. But sync and battery drain is not okey.
I now knows this is not a problem for just Galaxy S8. I belive it is the latest firmware that Fitbit released about the same time I got my Galaxy S8 thats it's the problem.
I also noted that setting Heart Rate to auto, now mean always on.

My test notification didn't work -- I've tried everything that has been suggested as a solution --, and all permissions were open so it should have worked....
