Fitbit Update: 09/3/2017
Our team is still actively investigating the root cause of this battery drain with Blaze and the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. I'm sorry that many of you are still having issues with a shorter battery life, but rest assured this is being looked at as high-priority for our team. My apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you all for your patience! I will provide an update as soon as there is more information available. In the meantime, please continue manually syncing your Blaze trackers only when needed. This will help preserve the battery-life.
Fitbit Update: 08/14/2017
Hi everybody!
Thanks for reporting your experiences with a rapid battery drain on Blaze trackers and your Android device - Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. Our team is aware this is affecting Blaze users and they are investigating the root cause. I will update this thread when there is more information available.
As a temporary workaround, turn OFF "Always Connected" and the "All-Day sync" features. Make sure to manually sync your devices at least once a day.
Thanks for your patience!

How do you consider this SOLVED?
The S8 is the LARGEST selling phone and you don't have a way to make it work? I've been a fan a long time... Getting close to becoming a fan of the Samsung Gear 3... I feel this needs to be Fitbit's number one priority...
27June2017 UPDATE... I think after last nights update to the app... Most of the Blaze problems MIGHT be solved. At least the Bluetooth and notification problems that is... Now let's see how the battery does..

Yea, I am more than pissed. If I buy the Gear 3 from Samsung, I will not be back. Be sure to work on the gs8+ as well.

Used Fitbit for years until that.
I don't imagine I'll ever be back.
Same here. Very happy with the Gear Fit 2, so far. It has more alert functionality than the Fitbit Blaze, and works seamlessly with my Galaxy S8+. Only downside is no constant HR monitoring, but I can overlook that to have all the other features that actually work correctly.

Well my folks, I placed my order last night on Amazon for the Samsung Gear Fit 2 as well. I've had enough of this thing not working correctly ever since I got my new phone. From all the reviews I have read, most folks are extremely pleased with the Gear Fit 2 not to mention, it seems to count steps, stairs, etc. more accurately. I sure hope I am as pleased as others seem to be. Not to mention, it should work amazing with another Samsung Product. Fit Bit....................if you snooze, YOU LOSE! SORRY! 😞

I had held out hope they would resolve this issue. Funny how they can't resolve this, but can work on a newer better blaze as I I read about yesterday. I most likely will be leaving as well to get something else that works.

That's the answer for a device that in my case was purchased 3 months before I had to get a new phone because my other one died? Create another one that I have to buy? Nah. Bye bye.

Pretty upset myself. It's been long enough that there should be a fix! Been reading over these comments because I thought my fitbit is messed up. Worked just fine on my note 4. Got the s8 a few days ago. Charged my fitbit last night, now 12 hrs later is already half dead! Get it together fitbit or I'm taking my money elsewhere! It should not take TWO MONTHS or more to code this for the s8. Seriously.

In another reply, it seems as though they have no I intention of updating anything. They are just making another blaze.....

if that's the case, I would never support this company again. Coding it for the s8 can't be that hard, and if they are purposely not doing it because a new blaze is coming out, that's bs. It's a super popular phone and not everyone is going to go and just buy a new watch because they don't want to support it anymore. It's been months. I hope more people boycott them if this is the case.

Battery drain is my problem. Tired of having to charge daily. 3 months and the most popular phone maker and you can't fix the issues? Sad!

When will you support S8? This is ridiculous. I just bought a fitbit I cannot use as intended.

I loved my fit bit Blaze when it was connected to my S4. I updated phone to an S8 and can't believe how badly my Blaze operates . Daily battery charge and notifications won't come thru on Blaze at all. So very unhappy with fit bit and their lack in fixing this huge problem. Can't even wear it since the time is always off due to battery.

Check out the Samsung Gear Fit 2, about the same size as the Blaze and works seamlessly with the S8/S8+.

Another unsatisfied Samsung S8+ user who is experiencing terrible battery life on the Blaze. Please keep me update when a real solution is available!!

This is pretty unacceptable as the S8 is a mainstream phone. Unfortunately, if this is not resolved soon I will no longer be able to support Fitbit and will most likely look at Samsung smart watches.

After months of frustration with my fitbit, I moved to the Samsung Gear S3 and love it. It lasts about 3 days for battery life, but it does so much more than the fitbit did, plus gives me all the fitbit functionality with workouts, steps and heartrate. The only thing that drives me crazy with it, is sometimes it automatically thinks I am bicycling when I am driving. Other than that, it is great and I can actually reply to messages, read email, answer calls and also have my fitness recorded.

That would be great! Just purchased a Gear S3 which I can still return if
Fitbit has rectified the issues on the S8.
Please keep us updated. Thanks
