Battery drain - Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ - Notifications

Fitbit has researched this issue and closed it.  But there are lots of us still with this problem.

 

Fitbit said it is Samsungs fault and they need to release an update.  I am assuming Fitbit was in communication with samsung since they made that claim. 

 

Can someone from fitbit please let us know when Samsung is going to release the update?

I just checked with Samsung - and they said...

 

"I have checked the information for you and I see that Samsung is working with its partners on the update, it may take a few weeks to get it released."

 

So hopefully this issue will be resolved soon.

I got a system update from Samsung for my Galaxy S8, applied it this morning (October 4), and since then my Fitbit Blaze has started to receive notifications and also works in connected GPS mode. So far so good, and if something breaks, I will repost it here.

Can you provide an ID for that Samsung update? Want to confirm if I have it to rule it out. I'm still seeing battery drain on my device as of last week, but have received yet another Samsung update today. So fingers crossed.

Have recently had a few Samsung updates.  Nothing has helped.  I will most likely purchase a different brand at this point.   Buyer beware.  900 dollar phone, 150 tracker,  not going to replace the phone at this point.  Anyone have luck with different trackers?

Just to clarify my results with the last two updates.  

 

First update after my original post....  same problems.  Battery drain on tracker and no notifications.

 

Second update after my original post....  just a few days ago.  Battery drain appears to be worse. Still no notifications.

 

Anyone having any luck with any kind of trackers that work with  Samsung S8?

Today i finally got my first app notification. Months later,  finally seems like this working with the latest updates.

My blaze battery now only lasts a day with the Galaxy S8 - is anyone still having this issue and does anyone know when it will be sorted?
