Battery issues? Or is the battery icon inaccurate?

My blaze is brand new, I've had it for 8 days now.

I'm wondering if my issue is battery life, or inaccuracies in the battery life icon.

I last charged it overnight Sunday night, today is Wednesday, and before I went to bed last night I plugged it in briefly just to view the larger battery display to see if it needed to be charged. The battery gauge was still nearly 3/4 full so I didn't bother. I don't wear it to bed and my heart rate monitor is set to auto so it's not constantly searching for a pulse when I'm not wearing it.

When I woke up this morning, it was nearly dead. It had two red bars left. I also had a notification on my phone that my battery life was nearly expired at 10:37pm last night. I went to bed a little after 10pm, which was the time that I had checked it.

So in about 30 minutes elapsed time, my battery icon went from nearly 3/4 full, to almost dead. So I'm wondering, could I have a battery issue? Is the battery icon known to reduce slowly and then rapidly expire once it reaches a certain point? Because according to the battery icon, it took about 40 hours to go from full charge to 3/4 charge, and then another 30 minutes to finish draining nearly completely.

Obviously I can't rely on the icon to tell me how much battery life I have left, but is 2 days the norm for battery life?

Thanks in advance 🙂

It's great to see you around @Skywyre.

I will be glad to answer your inquiry about the battery. At the moment of fully charging the Blaze, your battery icon will be full too but a couple of days later you will see that the battery icon half full, you can charge your tracker again at the moment of seeing this icon red (like the attachment).

Now, if the Blaze battery is only lasting a couple of days, you can take a look at this post and follow the instructions provided there.

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

Thank you for your reply 🙂

I've actually turned off my notifications  which helps with my battery life, but I still can’t rely on the icon.

It’ll take about 3 days to slowly drain from full to 3/4 and then literally 20 minutes later be at empty.

Im not sure what’s going on with my battery, but I’ve been just completely ignoring the battery icon and charging it every 3 days
