My Pixel XL took the OTA update to the Beta version of Android 8.1.0 and now it doesn't sync reliably. I have uninstalled the fitbit app and cleared all the data and cache and removed the Blaze from my account and then tried to reinstall it. The fitbit app on the Pixel XL says it sees the Blaze, but it doesn't complete the connection to the Blaze. I was able to add the Blaze back to my account using a different device. I think if you try to set up a Blaze on Pixel XL with Beta 8.1.0 it should reproduce the problem. I am using another device as my sync device for now.

From what I read this beta version 8 is really no where ready to be released and highly advised not to be installed
Since it is still in beta so is fitbits version.
You might need to wait until 8 is closer release or contact.fitbit.com
BTW removing tracker from your account never advised since the app needs to know at tracker is connected to the account before it can do anything.. If the app can not find the tracker to sync. How is it going to find the tracker to set it up.

It is easy to add the device back to the account. I don't see removing it and adding it back as a problem. That is just one of the symptoms of my Pixel problem. As far as being in the beta program , that is my choice. Since i have multiple devices to sync with fitbit it isn't a show stopper for me. My post is a warning to others that if you take the beta update from Verizon and have a Blaze it might not sync properly. There is no "going back" until a stable version is released because you have to start from scratch when you take the OTA back to 8.0.0 . I probably didn't make it clear in my first post, but I posted it as a warning to others and wasn't looking for advice.

Sync is working again on my Pixel XL with the beta 8.1.0 . It has worked off and on for a few days, but it seems that the new update to the fitbit app today has it back working normally.

My pixel updated a few days ago and still won't connect to my Fitbit. Did you do anything special to get it working?

I power cycled the Pixel XL and the Blaze then restarted both and they worked. I have had some problems with all day sync since the official 8.1.0 version went OTA. I can power power cycle the Blaze and toggle the Pixel Bluetooth off / on and it will usually sync, but sometimes I have to do it twice.
