Blaze AHEAD of Treadmill?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I read a lot of threads stating that the blaze would register less distance than a treadmill and it might have to do with stride, but mine actually registers ahead of the treadmill by almost half a mile at the end of my run. I do most of my runs outside, so I'm guessing the watch has picked up on my strides maybe? Just wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this.

@Ktorres, by ahead, i am going to assume that you're refferring to teporting a greater distance.

It is the same problem as if to little distance is reported.

Distance is calculated as steps times stride.

If your steps are correct then your stride has been calculated incorrectly.

So what do you do.

Take the distance reported by the treadmill and divide it by the steps reported by the tracker.

Set this as your stride in fitbit.

You can also use one of the online stride calculators
