Blaze Battery Life and Charging

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been using my new Blaze for 3 weeks.  The battery, with the recommended settings being turned off (Quick View, HR, alarms, etc...), lasts maybe two days.  Is this really the battery life to expect?  The product nomenclature says up to 5 days.  If this is the case, I may send in the blaze for refund, to Amazon, and maybe get a Charge HR to replace it.

I noticed similar threads out there, and hoping to get some feedback on the realistic battery life.  I'm having issues charging too that I just noticed this morning.  My original Charge HR worked really well, until the straps broke off.

The battery should last you 5 days at the least if you don't do much with it.

Do you sync your fitbit often?  I only sync when I tell my app to.  (mainly to conserve phone battery life).

Have you done a restart on your blaze?    Please follow the directions below if not:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If your Fitbit Blaze doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

How do i turn off my fitbit device?

  1. Swipe right to left on the home screen to the Settings screen.
  2. Tap Settings and scroll down to Shutdown.
  3. Tap Shutdown and confirm.
  4. To turn your Blaze back on, press any button.
  5. Sync your tracker as soon as you turn it back on. If you don't, the time may be incorrect.

Please let us know how this goes and if it helped you at all.

I will try all of the recommendations. It's not good to sell a product that
has certain capabilities, like 5 days of battery life, and then have the
customer figure out it's possible only if most of the features are turned
off.

My blaze battery life actually lasts for 6-7.  I use the exercise tracker and 8 alarms as well as the breathing workouts and the fitstar every morning.

But one of things I do is during the first few charges, I let the battery drain fully and charge fully.   I do this for all my electronic devices, especially smartphones.  I find that helps the functions of devices, might just be me, but i have not had any issues since I have started doing this.

I typically don't charge the fitbit until the battery fully dies.  Just a pet peeve of mine.  Not sure if this is helpful for you, but it has worked for me.

Thanks... I'm not certain what kind of battery the blaze has. I thought I
read to not let lithium batteries fully drain. It can lead to damaging the
battery.

I usually don't overcharge them.
