Blaze, Bluetooth and phone battery

I noticed since setting up my blaze last night that my Bluetooth has not turned off and it is draining my battery pretty quickly. I have an iPhone and went in to turn off Bluetooth sharing but that didn't do anything. What am I missing?

Hi, @MissyZ317, your Blaze does not affect your ability to turn Bluetooth off on your phone.  If you want to keep Bluetooth on, but do not wish the Blaze to continually access your phone, you should turn off all day sync and notifications, and keep the app closed except when you want to use it.

I can turn Bluetooth on and off in general but since syncing the blaze to the app last night Bluetooth will not turn off. All day sync is off, Bluetooth sharing is off, notifications are off but Bluetooth won't turn off when the app is closed.

That's really weird that you can't turn Bluetooth off on your phone.  I would try the high tech solution of turning the phone off and then on again...

Turned the phone on and off. Hard restarted it since I also did an update recently. I can turn the general Bluetooth on and off so that's not the problem. The only two things that pair to my Bluetooth are my car which is not connected unless I'm in it and it's on and the Blaze that shows always connected.

If your Blaze is with your phone and the phone's Bluetooth is on, the Blaze will show connected in your phone's BT settings, even if the Blaze is not actively syncing or receiving notifications.  That is expected behaviour so nothing is wrong.  If you don't want the Blaze to be connected, you will need to turn BT off on your phone.  This will preserve battery generally as your phone will not be seeking external devices.
