I received my new Blaze three days ago, setup went fine and was able to charge completely. Now, tonight I needed to charge so turned the Blaze off, plugged the charger into the usb port that was used after the initial setup. I did not get the large battery icon that was showed in a previous thread and the Blaze booted up. This happend twice. The unit is completely functional with all menu options available. I can see the small battery icon showing it is taking a charge. I assume the unit is charging but I did not know the unit would power back up during the charge sequence. Can someone please verify that what I am experiencing is correct? Thank you

You don't need to turn it off to charge so you should be fine. I think most electronics nowadays turn themselves on when they are plugged in.

@Wheel A warm welcome to the Community! Your Blaze will show the large battery icon just the first time you plug it in, after a few seconds it will show just the little battery icon to show it's charging. So, as far as it's showing the battery icon, it means that's charging.
You can open the craddle and close it again and it will show the large battery icon, so you can make sure it's charging.
@Fizzie94 Thank you for your input
.
Hope this helps.
