Ok, so I ran a 5k race a few weeks back and my Blaze recorded the distance at 4.5k not 5k. I dismissed this as it wasn't a licensed run, more of a fun run. However, last night my friend and I both ran 10k side by side. He also has a blaze. Started our devices at exactly the same time/place. We used mine as the distance tracker so when we got to 10k I stopped it. Heres where the confusing bit comes in. Where mine recorded 10k his recorded 10.9k. Thats 900m difference! Given the 5k distance being 1/2 a k out and the 10k distance being almost a full K out I'm assuming that my Blaze is 1/2 K inaccurate per 5K. Can anybody shed any light on this or even better, offer a solution?

What I find more confusing is not knowing which method was used to record the run? Was the phone and it's connected GPS used? If no have you run with the GPS enough times to have the stride auto detected?

Hi, I always run with my phone with me aswell. I select run on the tracker, it connects to phone then I run so I'm assuming that the GPS in the phone is tracked by aswell

Does the log of the run show a map?

Yes a full map of where I've been from start to finish. I run 3 times a week and didnt think anything of it until last night and I compared it with my friends blaze

Yes it shows a full map of where I've been from start to finish. Never thought anything of it until comparing it to my friends blaze then recalled the previous 5k run being under aswell. I run 3 times a week so I would imagine it's had time to auto detect my stride
