Firmware version 17.8.301.8 - Resolves a syncing issue with Apple iOS version 10.2

Workout mode missing? Not a problem! Just follow the steps for adding it back

 Hey everyone! Robot Happy

We're rolling out a new update for Blaze, release notes below:

  • In addition to call, text, and calendar event notifications, thirdpartyapps.jpgyou can receive notifications from email and other third-party apps on your tracker.Common emojis also appear. Keep in mind all notifications currently on your tracker will be deleted after the update.
  • You can receive reminders to move throughout the day.
  • Five new clock faces are available. Navigate to your device settings and check them out!

This release also resolves the following issue:

  • Some users reported that auto-brightness was too dim or delayed.

Important to note: A sync is required after a manual shutdown or a battery drain in order to show the correct time on Blaze. This is especially important for your activity tracked by Blaze because you'll want to make sure it's associated with the current date and time.

If I was a bettin' man I would say a big chunk of folks will see the update today around 2:00 pm est.

Good customer service is solving the customer's problem. Great customer service is making sure it never happens again.

Hoping for my update today.  Had my blaze since the first week it was available.  Tired of the watch faces 😞

@EmilGJ- I believe that GPS and water resistance are important for those focused on fitness, the Blaze has neither. I've also found the Apple Watch HR monitor to be more accurate and reliable.

Apple watch is overpriced, poor battery life, no actual fitness. It has a HRM but pretty useless, takes a ready every minute. I'll be sticking with my Fitbit, as long as they keep updating it. What's with the current update, are they adding users manually by getting some junior to type in each email ? LOL still a solid device

I agree the biggest reason I am still using my blaze instead of my apple watch is the battery life... i just hated my watch dying during my late meetings and gym sessions. It is just too much hassle remembering to charge it nightly. I personally think they should have prioritized improvement in battery life in the revised apple watch

so, after almost one day of use, pretty nice but still lot of work needed IMO

I like the "moment" face, is the most useful and better looking, I like to give a fast check to steps and cardio.

Still not working as expected, steps are not updating that smoothly, I found them a bit overstated too.

Notifications are ok, I can't expect more than just a text from this unit I guess, for something closer to the Apple Watch I think we'll have to wait for a new product, but we must understand that this is almost a wrist heartrate monitor and step counter more than a smartwatch.

Not comparing them actually, they are just 2 different things.

I don't know how much blaze's software can still be developed, but I guess it will have some limits due to its purpose. I mean, we can't expect the unexpected, right?

U can't expect to reply to facebook or whatsupp from the blaze...I guess.

Anyway, the app has still some trouble, had to add the blaze once again, all notification disappeared, but randomly appeared once again later. I guess they will fix it soon.

Btw, yes I agree with other comments, nice update, probably what it should have been since the beginning, but this will not be as wow as expected.
