Firmware version 17.8.301.8 - Resolves a syncing issue with Apple iOS version 10.2

Workout mode missing? Not a problem! Just follow the steps for adding it back

 Hey everyone! Robot Happy

We're rolling out a new update for Blaze, release notes below:

  • In addition to call, text, and calendar event notifications, thirdpartyapps.jpgyou can receive notifications from email and other third-party apps on your tracker.Common emojis also appear. Keep in mind all notifications currently on your tracker will be deleted after the update.
  • You can receive reminders to move throughout the day.
  • Five new clock faces are available. Navigate to your device settings and check them out!

This release also resolves the following issue:

  • Some users reported that auto-brightness was too dim or delayed.

Important to note: A sync is required after a manual shutdown or a battery drain in order to show the correct time on Blaze. This is especially important for your activity tracked by Blaze because you'll want to make sure it's associated with the current date and time.

Firmware version 17.8.301.7 should now be available to everyone, latest release notes below:

w00t!

After this is all over, @AndrewFitbit and @MatthewFitbit sure deserve some peace and quiet, for a little while. Hope the company will debrief on this rollout and learn important lessons about us, the people who invest money, energy(!), time, and data to make the business successful and receive some of the benefits from having one organisation truly dedicated to activity tracking.

I've ran the update (last night) however I noticed the ability to track a workout under the "exercise" menu has been removed. Rather frustrating as that was a big sell for me in choosing the blaze as I like to track my class workouts at the gym. When will this be added back?

The first update on my blaze took a couple of hours to install .... So very pleasantly surprised that this update appeared half an hour back and it took less than 10 minutes to complete.

Absolutely loving "moment". Brilliant.

My update progress is less than halfway through in 30 minutes. Is that something I should be concerned about?

Mine took over an hour to update, but it seems to have worked flawlessly.

Got my update today too. It took less than 10 minutes to install.

It's arrived in September, exactly as promised by Fitbit when they announced the update, so it's working as promised and delivered as promised.

Good product and good service. Thanks!

Just received my Blaze update and... my smartwatch is even smarter! All systems are green 🙂

@nlmux I've experienced that myself in the past when my Internet connection wasn't stable. If you notice the update taking way longer than expected (and if it's not close to being done), then you might want to force quit the app, make sure your connection is good, then re-initiate the update. That's what has worked for me before.

After four weeks of waiting, how many procent of the users have the update? Still no update in Germany... What a terrible update process. Stop lying to your customers! 😡

Got the update notification around 3:50pm Eastern time... There was no pink arrow just a message in the app saying update your tracker. Once I clicked that then I saw the pink banner... Now I'm wondering WHY was I told to send my tracker in for investigating at Fitbits request and being that it's clearly updated now was the chat agent incorrect in telling me my tracker is defective... Guess I should be contacting support instead of posting here but I'm just not sure if i would receive accurate information even still... 😑
