Firmware version 17.8.301.8 - Resolves a syncing issue with Apple iOS version 10.2

Workout mode missing? Not a problem! Just follow the steps for adding it back

 Hey everyone! Robot Happy

We're rolling out a new update for Blaze, release notes below:

  • In addition to call, text, and calendar event notifications, thirdpartyapps.jpgyou can receive notifications from email and other third-party apps on your tracker.Common emojis also appear. Keep in mind all notifications currently on your tracker will be deleted after the update.
  • You can receive reminders to move throughout the day.
  • Five new clock faces are available. Navigate to your device settings and check them out!

This release also resolves the following issue:

  • Some users reported that auto-brightness was too dim or delayed.

Important to note: A sync is required after a manual shutdown or a battery drain in order to show the correct time on Blaze. This is especially important for your activity tracked by Blaze because you'll want to make sure it's associated with the current date and time.

Excellent. Updated last night. No issues noticed.

Has the screen font increased in size or has my eyesight improved over night?

Well received my update last night via mobile, nothing to write home about. Just like my previous updates this one took over 90 mins to completeSmiley Mad. The little notification that states "Hold tight this will take 10 mins to complete" is utter crock of rubbish. And to make matters worse, when it stated it had finished then proceeded to tell me the update actually failed. So had to start the whole process again from desktop PC via dongle and guess what,  another 90 mins of it farting about it completed the update.

Like I said nothing to write home about, inconvenienced update poorly implemented, badly handled rollout with half truths.

Whoohoo! I finally received the update yesterday evening. I started the update immediately, but the "10 minutes" showed absolutely no progress for over 20 minutes. I blame my buggy WiFi connection at the spot in my home where I started the update.

After disconnecting my WiFi and switching to mobile data I could not restart the update process. I had to disable Bluetooth to stop the update in "progress", so I could restart it. The second time the update started to show progress immediately. In a few minutes the update was complete. I have all the new watch faces, improved notifications. And I just received my first Reminder to Move. I have 8 minutes left to do some 240 steps.

I'm happy as a clam!

Just had the same message,  232,steps to go at 18:50 while I was watching the weather forecast.  Damaging storms coming but I hadn't realised I hadn't been moving for that hour. . Up and at it and then the 250/250 well done message.

My update only took 7 minutes on a 4g network but I'm within sight of my mobile tower and the measured speed is over 50mbs

Just got another message..... Final stages of Daily Goal Challenge..

Well done Fitbit..

It was because of the Alta, that the Blaze has move reminders I believe. I had one (still do, it takes over while the Blaze is charging) before I bought a Blaze (one week after). Beleve me, the phone nudges me at work when I haven't met my "quota" of 250 steps a hour, but with me averaging 7000-7500 steps a shift, I see that as inconsequential.

Now if they only had the messages like Alta does.

@Jak68 I'm checking for you. But I have Android 6.0.1 which is working perfectly with all aspects of Fitbit and syncing.  Never missed a sync and no errors.

Got my UK update and I'm happy that everything is working well and the new features. I'm a watch wearer so I rotate between my nice watch and blaze stainless steel strap. I'm going to get the flex 2 to wear when I have my dress watch (breitling) so I still can monitor my steps/sleep etc. I do love the blaze though

I decided to wait from last night, figured it might be so busy it would get hung up, got the update first thing this morning, took about 10-12 minutes. Messages, email, all good. ( 60 new emails all loaded about 5mins after the update). Thanks for enlarging the font, because i can see without my glasses on....i like the moment face and the argyle.. waiting for the reminder to move to kick in, it is supposed to start at 6 am.Glad to see this update, i think i can actually love my Blaze again, now i will double check the accuracy on my treadmill. Great update so far. This forum is very helpful, i don't post much, ( some posters too much snark/ sarcasm,  a question can lead to ridicule), but i appreciate the available information....i do check in to read daily.

I've updated. I sync with my iPhone 6. Since updating I cannot stop text/call notifications. The sliders are in the off position in the app settings. I've restarted by Blaze. As long as my Blaze is connected via Bluetooth I receive notifications. How do I stop them? Thanks.

Welcome,  mine had a message on my Android phone in the wee small hours this morning.  There was a red/pink coloured drop down arrow to update.

Hi there:

After the update yesterday, I no longer have the option to log a generic exercise under the "exercise" feature. Am I missing something? Thanks!
