Update 4/5/16:
I've addressed some things I've seen come up in this thread in a post I made here. Check it out!
Hey! While it is April 1st, the Blaze firmware update to version 17.8.104.1 is no joke. As usual, we're rolling out the update in waves, and we hope to have everyone updated soon.
This release includes the following:

I think the vibration is TOO strong. My silent alarms are louder than my android alarm.

I just noticed the Hourly Activity feature - I don't know if it's been there all along and I just haven't noticed it, or if it's new.
Is this customizable? That is, can I change the number of steps per hour it recommends (defaults to 250)? And is there any kind of prompt or reminder or notification? That is, if I'm getting near the end of an hour can my device (Charge HR) prompt me that the hour is almost up and I haven't hit my hourly goal yet?
Also I am losing steps in my CHallenges. My dashboard will have for example 20k steps, and in the challege will only show 17k - i do not log steps manually, the same time zone, I deleted and reinstalled app, restarted watch etc.. nothing works to make the two sync. Happened 2 days in a row no.

Its a new feature in the Fitbit app, you can customize the number of steps per hour:

Alerts only on Alta, although Fitbit moderators have stated its coming in a Blaze update.

Can anyone who has recieved the update confirm whether or not it fixes the issue with the number of steps to takes to walk a mile?

I can see the 250 steps each hour on the online dashboard but its nowhere to be found in the ios application. So do I need to carry my CPU with me now?

Hey all,
Just want to chime in on a few things:
Not everyone will have the firmware update available to them yet, as we're still rolling it out. When there's an update available for your tracker, you'll either see it on your Fitbit.com dashboard, or at the top of your device settings in the Fitbit app. I don't have a specific date for when it will be available to everyone, but it's likely to be within the next few weeks.
Keep in mind there are no new features with this release, just general improvements and bug fixes. For specifics, you can check out the release notes on our help site.
As far as "Hourly Activity" that some of you have noticed, this was a tile recently added to the Dashboard and Fitbit apps that will look something like this:
The 250 steps is not adjustable, but you can customize the time period. If you don't see this tile in your Fitbit app, make sure you're on the latest version and that you've selected the tile to appear (this tile won't appear if you have Zip or One). It's also important to note that this does not mean your tracker will get "Reminders to Move". "Reminders to Move" for Blaze will eventually be available, so please be patient.
@super123 WhatsApp notifications will only work for Android, but there's a Feature Request for it to work on iOS as well.

I would love to adjust how long the display stays illuminated. I understand fitbits perspective on getting the most battery life...but I, and a lot of people want this setting.

So an undewhelming firmware update that basically provides not a lot.. could be a "few weeks" before it's delivered.. I'll not hold my breath for any update that actually fixes any of the MANY shortcomings that the Blaze suffers then! (the irony in the choice of device name isn't lost on me.. it's hardly trail blazing is it..)

Wow, it takes a few weeks to get an upgrade firmware. I could not wait because the Blaze has major bugs. One pf them, how can I burned 1148 calories. I took off the watch around 6am and when I looked at my Blaze around 5pm, it has 1148 calories??????
Sounds about right. You burn calories simply by being alive. If your body didnt burn some calories throughout the day, you'd be dead. Going by the information you provided when you set up your FitBit account, the tracker can estimate you base calorie burn outside of working out and display that.
