Enjoy daily charging Either way, the products don't make sense to compare to each other, but if you have an Apple and are happy with it I don't blame you for going back to it.

It appeared for many others as well, probably everyone. It is move 250 steps every hour for a period of time that you can define or modify in the setting of that section.....or you can delete it from your app, like I have done with food, water, calories, distance, and a few others. Nice addition though.

Does the Hourly Activity tracker send a notification to the Blaze when the user has been idle too long, or is it just tracked via the app/dashboard?

I did not get this. I haven't had the new firmware update either. Are the reminders to move tied to the firmware update?

The hourly tracker is an update to the app, not the firmware.
As for some people having the firmware update available while others so not, is because Fitbit rolls or out over the course of several days.
Why is this, just to keep the servers from crashing.
The first time a firmware was released to all at the same time, the server promptly craahed.
In with you still waiting.

Hmmm...I have the most up to date iOS app and don't get the hourly tracker option on it. I do have it on Fitbit Connect, but not on the mobile app. Is this actually working to give the reminder to move?

I haven't noticed a reminder but there are dots that represent each hour and it will tell you how many hours you did at least 250 steps. I plan on setting alarms at 10 minutes to the hour each hour and if I'm not at 250 steps yet, I can do it. Kind of a work around until they make an update.

Do you mean the firmware update has a selection for Whatsapp and others on IOS? That is great.

It is not on the Blaze currently. And even the app is not a "reminder to move", just a section that tracks how many hours you walked 250 steps or more, which is new to the app, for any fitbit tracker.
