Blaze FitBit vs MapMyRun

Yesterday, my watched died before I had the time to go run at lunch. I decided to use MapMyRun app on my phone to track my run so I was still able to log the workout later. Yesterday's run ended up being 4.49 miles, and I was pretty proud of myself because before, while using my watch to track, I was getting no more than 2.75 miles on the same workout. Today I did the workout, and while it was only a 3 min longer run, my FitBit tracker only tracked me doing 2.57 miles. While I know the run was a tad longer and my pace might be a little longer, I wasn't expecting there to be a two mile difference. I'm a little confused. Could it be because I'm running indoors and the GPS is diff? Does anyone have advice on this?

The first day, I used MMR app on my phone and the second day, I used my
watch to track it. Both maps look a little odd.

The word "odd" is not very descriptive.
