I've had my Blaze for about a year and been tracking my runs and walks with it pretty successfully until a few months ago.
It seems like when GPS tracking an activity using the Blaze, it drops connection and shows the red icon almost immediately after setting off and never reconnects. It must be tracking something as the resulting tracked map shows a very 'spikey' route.
Tracking the same route from the app on the phone provides a highly accurate track.
Here are screenshots of the difference in tracking from the same walk.
Tracked via app
Tracked via Blaze
Any ideas what could be causing this?

It may be your phone. My phone was accurate on Samsung health & strava and then did this same thing a year or so ago. (It still does fine w Google maps). I knew when I got my fit bit (last week), I was liable to have the same issue & sure enough, I run around a track and I get crazy random tracking...
I think my next step is a new phone.

While tracking with your Blaze, was the app running in background? I think that is necessary because Blaze and phone may lose connection. Maybe your phone woke up due to messages etc. so the connection was rebuilt again. So try it with app in background running. I had to do that on my S4 mini.

That makes me feel relieved and deflated at the same time. Wish it tracked better.

Welcome to the Community @jono1701, thanks for the attachment and @MelUT, @The_Lion for stopping by.
If you haven't tried this, I recommend restarting your Blaze. Also, you can check the How accurate is GPS? article and this post where one of our friends is providing really good tips to improve some features of the Blaze.
I hope this information work, catch you later.
