So I tried the connected GPS tracking on my new Blaze and it is off by about 20%. It connected fine and the map shows the route I took but it claims that distance is 6.5 km when it is actually 5.6. Runkeeper running on the same phone at the same time gave the correct distance (as checked by both google maps and the speedometer on the bike which all agree)
I find this really confusing. Why is it changing the data it get from the GPS?

The Fitbit app needs to be open on your phone and at least running in the background for the entirety. Also, make sure you have several green bars showing connected before you tap go.
If that doesn’t help, try a restart. Below you will find the short steps you have to take in order to restart your tracker:
1.) Press and hold the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.) Let go of the buttons.
If the issue continues to persist, I would suggest contacting Fitbit Support via Chat!
If any of the above fixes your problem, please mark ‘Accept as Solution’!

I slso find that i need enough free space on the phone.
I also wonder how accurate the GPS can be with 3 different apps polling the gps hardware.
