Blaze Heart rate way out

Hi I am a huge fan of fitbit. Previously I had a HR charge. Recently I decided to get a blaze. While I love the extra features the heart rate monitor seems to be way out. With my charge my resting heartrending was always 60. Which is right on. But this blaze says anywhere from 76 to 85. It even shows me a heart rate when I take it off the charger ???? I have tried the restart but it does not seem to make a difference...is there a fix for this?

I've noticed similar issues with my new Blaze.  I've only had for a few days.  Blaze seems to be about 10 bpm high for me.  I'm coming from a Microsoft Band 2, which was pretty good at both resting and active HR tracking.  I had compared the Band to my Polar strap.  I haven't yet used the Blaze during a workout to see how it compares.

Interestingly, the data on the web dashboard seems to be more accurate than what's reflected in the Fitbit mobile app and the Blaze itself.  Disappointing that it can't be exported for more detailed examination.

I had read that Fitbit was pretty good at tracking HR during low or no activity.  I also read about issues with tracking accurately during activities with lots of movement.  However, I understand that optical monitors aren't as good as a strap or ECG.  I can handle it being off during high activity.  I'll use a strap if I want total accuracy.  I do expect it to do a good job during low or no activity and be reasonably accurate during high activity.
