I have the Blaze, and I have noticed that some days it says I have burned way more calories than seems possible. I am 31, M, 210, not in the best shape, but not terrible either. I have noticed my heart rate sometimes will go up around 100-110 just from a normal work day. I am attaching a picture of todays output so far. For the number of steps it seems like I have burned more than I would guess...
How much does a higher heart rate factor into calorie burn? I notice at some points it has me burning big amounts for no apparent reason except possibly heart rate being higher.
Here is an example from Saturday. As you can see by comparison I have huge calorie burn during a time I had less than 100 steps.....And throughout the day I didnt even go a distance that would warrant a 5k calorie burn. All I did that day was give a presentation (so my heart rate was high from anxiety), and then do normal walking around.

A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community @askubi!
For what you say, it does seem that the amount of calories burned is a litle high for the activity you show (steps). I would advise checking with your doctor what your average expected calorie burn would be based on your personal information just to have an idea of what to expect from your dashboard calculations and then compare to see if there is a big discrepancy.
Also, remember that it's super important to have all your personal information entered correctly. For this, make sure to go into the account section to the settings (by clicking at the top right corner of your screen on the gear icon) and here in the personal info tab, make sure your height, weight, age and any other pertinen piece of information is correct.

I'm having the same issue today. Normally my Blaze has me burning about 2100 calories in an average 24 hour period that includes an hour at the gym. Today, it's reading 3300 calories burned and 236 minutes of exercise (60 of which I recorded manually) and it's barely noon! I did go to the gym this morning and performed the same hour long workout that I do when the watch reads 2100 calories/day...then I drove to work and have been sitting in a cubicle for the last 5 hours. Worse yet, my Blaze has refused to sync with my Galaxy S7 since 5:30 this morning (this device keeps refusing to sync on my Galaxy until reset which began happening about 3-4 weeks ago), so all this supposed activity happened in the one hour I was awake prior to heading to the gym unless I was doing acrobatics in my sleep. The battery shouldn't be an issue as it's at half full, and there is no record of the actual activity accounting for the extra 176 active minutes anywhere on the site.
