Hi Everyone,

I am just wondering how everyone's Blazes are holding up.  I had a 2 flexes and both died between 9 months and a year.  Just wondering what the new ones are like before I buy.

ThanksMarc

Done it... After the same failure on the iPad I had nothing to lose by trying a factory reset.  Got the big red cross and I had nothing to lose so it finally paired on the iPad. The firmware downloaded and 25 minutes later I had a connected Ionic.  Sleep is now working. Checked my settings and the only issue now is that I get a vibration and blank screen when I attempt the Pay. The wallet etc is all working.

I will try that when I go out.

I got a year and a half Out of mine. Severely disappointed for the price paid for the blaze. I will not be ordering fiitbit product even with the discount they offered after my battery took a **ahem**.

My Blaze has just come out of the warranty period as guess what? It's dying... they're not cheap and this seems to be a common problem. Will not be buying again

I just ran into this same problem.

They sent me a coupon for 25% off another Fitbit excluding the Versa or 40% off the Ionic.

I'm so frustrated! After 14 months I should not have to spend $150+ on a new tracker.

I'm so bummed, but what are my options at this point? Have you found a comparable tracker?

Try shutting down your blaze and restarting, clean back with alcohol and you should be back in business. I did that and been running great since.

My blaze “died” on me yesterday.  I’ve had it for approximately 2 yrs now.  I’ve worn it daily in all types of conditions and it has always performed well.  This is the first time that I’ve had an issue (“black screen of death”).  I’ve tried rebooting it on several occasions as suggested in the Community Board,  without luck.  I can feel it vibrating after about 10 secs however, still nothing comes up on the screen.  Suspect that it’s at the end of its life cycle.  Any recommendations?

Mine is about a year-and-a-half old and I'm having the issues with battery not staying charged and not syncing information. I guess I will have a blaze funeral

I'm not sure if I understand you @Kelwrenn , your the first person to mention Vo2. Who might you be asking, and why not properly tag then?

As for the Blaze, it for not have the needed hardware.

I’m on my second Fitbit. The blaze I have now has stopped holding charge. Just started this recently but it will not hold charge more than four hours. I’ve had it less than two years

likely not getting another

I had my Blaze for about three years.  It definitely had limited charge and synching was harder, but I figure these devices don't seem to last that long.  I just upgarded to a Charge3 a couple months ago and am pretty happy with it....

I got my Blaze when it was a brand-new product, so 3 years or so? The HR function quit 2 weeks ago (LEDs just stopped working, burned out?) but the battery life went up to 2 weeks, so I'm not complaining much. I got 7 days' life out of it before that with all notifications off, but sync on. I came to the forum to see if others were having the same issue (HR LED failure) but it seems the prevailing fix is to replace it. Too bad, I really liked my Blaze - it's taken a beating and still works & looks OK.

I agree I got three years out of my Blaze and was satisfied with it. It
still works and my son uses it. I only had a few problems with it, and a
hard reset always seemed to work...

My blazed battery died after 1.5 year. I never had any issue prior, just one day after a full charge the battery went by the end of the day. After multiple charges it just kept dying within the same day...very disappointing.

Well, there it is.

I did a hard reset on it and the HR function came back. I guess I don't have to buy a new anything yet after all.

Thanks for sharing!

I've had two Blazes.  The battery died at exactly 15 months on both of them.  I am quite certain they are made to just outlast the 12-month warranty.  A very expensive toy!

Not sure how I got so lucky but I've been wearing mine every day for almost 3 years.... no problems with battery life! I'm very nervous to replace it when it does go.
