It's happened a few times...I get the 10,000 step celebration....today I actually saw the step count at 10,002...now the data says 9,991.
Very frustrating.

This is the 3rd time I hit 10K steps and the App didn't grab the correct data, shortchanging me and interrupting my streak.
Another production glitch that FitBit should have caught.

What does Fitbit.com show? I find the app doesn't always update right away, and seems to not handle it's cash efficiantly.

Rich, sorry for the delay in responding.....FitBit.com showed the same shortfall, ditto the App.
If you are trying to keep your 'streak' of 10,000 Step Days alive....make sure you get at least 10,100 or MORE steps. The synch sometimes will shortchange the number especially if you got the last steps very close to the midnight changeover when the count returns to zero.
Tonight I got about 10,069 or a bit more (I looked a few seconds before midnight and then when I flicked my wrist 10 seconds later it was at 0 ) but the App on my Galaxy S4 and FitBit.com both show only 10,037.
Of course, I actually probably had about 12,000 steps because of the undercounting inaccuracy problem that we are awaiting a fix for, but that's another story.......

Things got better for me with the latest iOS app update (new dashboard). Very easy now to "rubber-band" the dashboard and force a sync, versus having to drill into account menu on the app. Hoping Fitbit rolls that out soon for Android.
