Blaze Screen is Black, but still collects data

Have Blaze from April 2016 and has been working great until a few weeks ago.  First the left button stopped working and it would get stuck in the second screen and the only way to bump it out was to change the clock face setting.  I was hoping an update would fix that, but no new ones I've noticed in months.

 

Now as of today the screen is totally dead and the green HR lights are out as well.  However, strange thing the Blaze still syncs with both my iPhone and with my desktop and provides data.  Is there any hope for it, or should I kiss it goodbye and thank it for 14months of service ?

First thing to try when a fitbit misbehaves is a restart using the following procedure:

It does no harm and can sort out all sorts of issues. You might need to give it a few tries though as it's known to not always work.

Thanks for the reply. The left button doesn't work so holding it down with the bottom right won't reset it. Also can't manually shut it down because the screen is dead and can't get to that option.

Have you tried with the Blaze out of the frame?

Yes it's dead and blank. I put it in the charging frame and when I saw on my iPhone the prompt it was fully charged the watch face appeared for a few seconds. Then after removing it blank again. It still seems to take reads an will sync, just no watch face and no green lights to measure hr.
