Blaze Setup???

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got my Blaze today, and when I tried setting it up in my phone thru the fitbit tracker app, it keeps telling me to update my application to continue.  I have the newest verson of the application.  There is no update available.  SO, I tried to do it on my computer running windows 8.1.  I downloaded the fitbit connnect app and tried to go through the setup.  It keeps telling me that my dongle is not connected.  The computer is recognizing the blaze when I look in my settings, but the app still says it's not connected.  What do I do?

That has been happeneing to hundreds of us. Customer service told me to send my Blaze back, which i did, and the replacement did the same thing.   Don't go through your computer.  I will get stuck on asking you to put in a dongle.  The Blaze does not require a dongle so this is a Fitbit error.

Keep trying from your phone.  It takes 4 or 5 hours of trying to upload, failing and trying again.  Eventually you will see a task bar and a couple of hours later you might see it start to move.  Fitbit has given us absolutely no clue as to why it takes some of us long to get the update.  They just try to make it sound like it's user error, since it doesn't happen to all. it took from 9:50 this morning to 3:07 this afternoon before the update finished. Keep trying!  I think their servers are just overloaded.

@BmSmith with regarding to an application,  what device would this application be on?

If it is an Android device then i suggest going inyo the phone sertings and clear data

If this doesn't work remove the aoo and install a fresh copy.

I have this problem and it is only for the blaze. Thought it was my phone, so I started to install the surge and it would start to install. I'll try a few hours later, with positive thoughts...

If ypir on an Android phone,  delete the Fitbit app,  then install fresh.

The computer dies nor see the Hlaze, but looks at the server and sees tyat a Blaze is attached to your account.

I just tried that to include getting rid of a few apps. No luck.
