Blaze Won't Turn On

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

Last night I charged my Blaze.

When I took it off charge it shows nothing on the screen.

I have tried every combination of buttons to power on and nothing happens.

When I put it back in its cradle there is nothing displayed on the screen.

Fitbit app says it is looking for the device.

Any ideas?

Daniel I have a similar problem it stems from when I updated my firm ware now my Blaze won't start up at all. When I put it in the charger cradle it shows the battery as full, but it will not turn on. I tried your lower left button workaround, but it did not work, any other suggestions?

Hi there @Spider1959. Great to see you jumping into this thread! 🙂

Just to clarify, to make sure that your tracker will restart properly, it's not only the lower left button that needs to be pressed. You can properly do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot and hopefully that will make your tracker to come back to life.

Try that out and let me know if it works.

Same problem... My 8 month old Fitbit Blaze suddenly drained overnight. It was 80% charged last night. Now i cannot start it, charge it (tried different charging solutions), and my laptop or iphone cannot connect to it. I tried the reboot, but as it is drained it wont do anything.

Effectively it died on me.

Not so impressive to have a dead battery after 8 months!

I guess I shall contact support.

Hey @pecaut, welcome to the Forums! 🙂

From what you mention, it sounds like your tracker hasn't been set up yet, the Fitbit logo and the fitbit.com/setup message will appear prior to setting it up so I can recommend following the process on the Fitbit app.

For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem and you will be able to see the different screens when you swipe.

@mikevanbreugel, Great to see you around as well! 🙂

I noticed that you already spoke to the Support Team so, just keep an eye on your inbox for further instructions. They will take good care of you!

Let me know if you guys need anything else!

Hi so I first read everyone's comments first I pressed all the buttons the bottom right and the power button for 15 seconds consecutively together back and forth and everything and it still won't work it was working yesterday it was dying so I charged it realize it didn't shut down to charge so I turned it off to make sure it was charging while it was powered down and this morning there's nothing but the green lights on the back of the Fitbit are still lighting up everytime you touch it and my not pressing the buttons correct there's the power button on the left and then the up and down button on the right side

Hey there guys! Great to have you in the Forums! 😄

@AngelEchev @Ramos3088, I'm happy to hear that it worked for you! 😄 Now, get back to stepping!

@Suecooper @Msash2u, I'm sorry this hasn't worked for you yet. I would just like to make sure you're restarting your trackers properly. Make sure that to restart it, you're pressing both, the single button on the left side and the lower button on the right side at the same time for about 10-12 seconds. You should see the tracker turning off and coming back on after that.

Let me know if you still need help after doing this.

My Blaze started acting up after it was updated a few days ago.

   1. It wouldn't register my heart rate

   2. It wasn't registering my floors climbed

   3. The display was stuck and wouldn't let me swipe

   4. Green lights not flashing on back

The above then didn't accurately reflect calories burned....no real big deal as it was still counting steps.

At some point in the evening, my Blaze "died"; no display on screen. I know there was over half batter life remaining.

Once home last night, I decided to clean my Blaze...following steps provided from "how to clean"....

   1. I carefully used a toothpick to remove buildup around back sensor.

   2. I used a q-tip and alcohol to gently clean the entire device, paying special attention to the charging points and HR sensor area.

   3.  Cleaned the charging cord in same manor.

After cleaning and ensuring all all parts were completely dried, I plugged my Blaze into a surge protector to charge.  Once plugged in, there was no indication the device was charging so I plugged the USB into my laptop; with the same result.  I let it plugged in overnight to charge and see if there would be any change in the morning. This morning there was still no response on the screen, so I followed the steps to restart my Blaze and got no response. I have tried restarting (holding single left and lower right buttons for 10-15 seconds) multiple times today with no success.  When I push and hold the TOP right button my Blaze will vibrate, but that is the only reaction I can get from my device.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I miss Blaze.  Thank you in advance for any assistance able to be provided.

Hi there @Bock65. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're also having problems with your Blaze not turning on.

Thanks a lot for all the details and from that, it sounds like you've tried everything to get your tracker working to no avail.
