Blaze a smart watch and a fitbit in one?

I already have a fitbit charge and I'm thinking of ugrading to the blaze.  Is it a smartwatch and a fitbit in one?  I have really wanted a smart watch, but if this is both, I'm sold.  I wouldn't want to get  another company's smart watch and get rid of my fitbit.  Fitbit's customer service is amazing.  I love the company!

I would say No, it's not really a Smartwatch by the criteria that most people use. I believe Fitbit call it a fitness watch which is a good compromise.

Think of it more as a Fitbit with a more 'smart casual' rather than 'sports casual' face on it.

It says you can recieve calls and text, so does that mean you can answer it instead of your phone?

No. It tells you that you have a call like the Charge, Charge HR and Surge do.

YOu can read texts in the same as with the Surge.

I wouldn't call it a smart watch. It can do the basic stuff but nothing more than that. It's a Fitness watch first with very slim smart watch offerings.

Can yout reply to texts from it, or just see them?

Some expanding on the notifications-

• Call notifications: You'll get a vibration and an animation on the display of the Blaze when you're receiving a call. If you want accept the call, you can press the green phone icon and it'll "answer" your phone for you, but you'll have to speak with your phone; there's no built in microphone of speaker. If you miss or reject the call (using the red phone icon), you'll see a missed call notification in your daily summary. 
• Text notifications: This is pretty straight forward; you'll be able to see your texts and like you would with all notifications, you'll be able to delete the ones you don't want to see as well. 
• Calendar reminders: You'll get a reminder that coincides with your calendar that reminds your of upcoming events in your calendar.

No replying from Blaze, you only see the text.
