Hi Team,
Two things I observed here:
1) if you clap, your step counter increases
2) sometimes if you go half of the staircase if you climbed only 4-5 steps and then it will count the floor. sometimes if you climb all the steps it will not detect.
Not sure how much we can trust this device for the activity.
Thanks!

It's great to see you around @ShailuRajArra. Regarding to your inquiries:
1. Keep in mind that your tracker will sometimes detect your steps by moving your hands, you can negate this information by manually logging the activity "Driving" by doing the following from your iOS Fitbit app:
1. Tap the "+" icon
2. Tap Track Exercise
3. Enter your information
4. Tap Log It
2. Fitbit Blaze detects floors using an altimeter, which is a sensor that calculates altitude change based on atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric pressure decreases with increasing elevation, so your tracker calculates elevation gain based on the reduction in atmospheric pressure. Your Blaze registers a floor when it detects continuous motion combined with an elevation gain of about 10 feet.
I hope this information helps, catch you later. ![]()

What if you do not climb stairs each day, but walk inclines? Is this counted as floors? My Blaze showed I walked 10 floors...which I knew I hadnt

I'm experiencing a similar problem to a greater degree.😕 My blaze is absolutely not counting my steps with reasonable accuracy. It's not counting an average of 1000 steps which is REALLY FRUSTRATING. I have a Samsung phone which count my steps on my morning walks simultaneously. Without failure my Fitbit blaze is about 1000 steps less. The pedometer no doubt freezes. I've tested it by snatching it as I walk.😞
Please help me resolve this issue.

Mine too!! I ran 3.5 miles this morning, on the treadmill, and my fitbit was at like 2 miles. It works a little more accurately when running outside. Getting frustrated!
