I finally figured out why I am sleeping through my silent alarm. It's not going off!
I originally slept though the alarm (I thought) because it was too soft. So I set up a series of 5 alarms with 1 minute between them. No way to sleep through that and it worked. However the next day I slept through them again.
So today, I set my phone alarm to go off 5 minutes before the series of 5 was set to go off, so I could tell for sure what was happening. I checked the Alarms on my watch and the bells were green and the time said "today". I waited and nothing happened. After the time for the alarms passed, I checked the the watch again and all the alarms were still green and changed to "tomorrow". I set a new alarm from my phone for 5 minutes in the future. Waited and it went off just fine.
So it appears for me, on my watch, the silent alarm feature IS working. It just isn't repeating despite the watch and ap stating otherwise.
Also it seems like I need to delete the alarm completely each time to get it to work the next day (vs. turning it off and then on again.)
I hope this is a bug that will be fixed with a software update soon. But I am glad that I figured out what is going on ... I didn't think I could possibly sleep through that alarm.

Well I don't want it every single day so I thought that as long as the slider is turned to green and it says it is set to tomorrow it would go off. So my ap screen look like this:
But you are right, it doesn't make sense that it would be green if the alarm is not set to repeat. Hmmm. I am going to have to play around with this. What I am looking for is to be able to set this series of alarms just on the days I need it. So I thought as long as they were toggled on they would go off. I'm going to turn them off, sync my phone, then turn them on again and see if that works tomorrow. THanks for the idea!

@Heidstirr so you were right on track with your question. even though the ap indicates the alarm is on for tomorrow (i.e. the slider is green and says "tomorrow" like in my photo above , and the watch shows on for tomorrow ...i.e. bell is green ), it really isn't on. once I have used the alarm, to make the alarms work again, I have to turn them off on the phone, sync the watch, then turn them back to green and sync the phone again.
i see in the ap where I can chose it to repeat on particular days but I don't want to do that.
i think that once the alarm is used, if it is not set to repeat it should show "off" instead of "on" in both the ap and the watch. that would make the most sense.

What has been working for me is to make sure after the alarm has gone off is to manually switch the alarm to "off" on my my ap, then sync the watch, then set the alarms again and then sync the watch.

This seems to work but it's a huge pain. Hopefully they fix this bug!

I'm very glad that I'm not the only person experiencing this headache.

Is this going to be fixed by Fitbit, I am having the same issue. Thank you for the work around.

1 year and several updates later the problem is still persists. I even got a new unit as the battery would only hold a 2 hour charge and the same issue is on the new one. I assume that FitBit is now more concerned with their newer products.
My syncing issue is also still there, but that's another post.

Isn't the blaze one of the latest devices? So shouldn't they get this fixed?

It's great to see you all here, I hope you are doing fine.
I would like to know if you keep having problems with your alarms, if you do, could you please tell me if you have everything updated, the app, the Blaze? If you don't, I recommend updating your app or tracker and after this, test the alarm feature.
Catch you later.

I have updated my blaze and will be testing it next week (3/26/2017 and on)

Even after the latest update here is what I still see:
If I set a new alarm for every Monday to wake up. It will work on the first and second Monday, but on the third Monday forward it will no longer work. The repeat is the problem. What I found is if I turn off and then back on the Alarm after the first Monday it will work the following days.

I am having the same problem. I followed your suggestion of setting 5 consecutive alarms to wake up.
I had tried just turning off all of the alarms on my watch. Then turned them back on. That worked once. Doing so on the app did not work. I had problems with syncing but did not realize that until last night when I tried to reset them cfk
app.
When it worked, I turned off each alarm from my watch then went back and turned them back on. The next morning, they went off. Repeated it. Next morning, nothing. I kept doing it and one morning, only the last alarm went off. They were all green.
I am thinking this is a bug as the purpose of allowing me to use a repeat option is that I can set it and forget it. Way too cumbersome to be designed this way. Very frustrating.

And I bought my Blaze at Christmas 2017 and my app does not need updating.
