All your data is held on the fitbit servers rather than your phone so this is not a problem.
When you get your new phone just install the app and logon using your current id and password. All your data, badges, settings etc will be there.
If you want to sync to your new phone make sure it's supported by fitbit at www.fitbit.com/devices and if you still have your old phone around make sure to delete any connection to the fitbit in the bluetooth settings.

Hi, wonder if anyone can help ?
I have a new iPhone 6s Plus having dropped my iPhone 6 in the toilet 🙄
My new phone cannot find my Fitbit Blaze.
I cannot instruct my old phone to forget the blaze because it doesn’t work at all. My new phone has had all previous information from my old phone downloaded from the cloud.
I’ve tried all the usual, put the Fitbit in it’s charger, pressed sync buttons, deleted and reinstalled the Fitbit app, restarted phone, turned Bluetooth off and on again all to no avail.
I’m just about to give up, not been impressed with the Blaze in the 18 months I’ve had it for multiple reasons so this is just another reason to call it a day.
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanking you in anticipation
Kind Regards
M

Hello, I have again this morning followed the following steps:-
deleted the Fitbit app and re downloaded from the App Store
followed the steps on the app to add the Blaze to the App - it cannot find it at all
instructions were that if it cannot be found put the blaze into its charger - did this and nothing
it said if it could still not be found switch Bluetooth off and on again .... phone still cannot find the Blaze
bluetooth on on phone picks up all other available Bluetooth devices just not the blaze
dont really know now what else to do ?
My my old phone had no problem finding it so perhaps it’s an iPhone or iOS issue ?
Thanks
M

That sounds like you are trying to add a new device to your account. There should be no need to do that. If you sign on to the account using your original id and password the fitbit should already be there. Is the problem that you are trying to add it again?

Hello,
I had already tried that and it didn’t work hence I went down the route I did.
I have just sorted it though. I went to settings on the Blaze itself and chose shutdown. When I then restarted it it found it straight away.
Many thanks for your help it is much appreciated
Kind Regards

Well it lasted until 2nd February and now it’s lost the Bluetooth connection yet again.
I’ve shut the watch itself down, turned Bluetooth on and off and tried again all the other suggestions made previously. I am just not prepared to spend any more time messing about with it.
I have had so many issues with the Blaze it stops tracking runs 5 minutes in, it tracks sleep fine sometimes and others it’s completely wrong. Stair count is often wildly inaccurate there’s been a difference of 20+ floors on days that have been almost identical and now this issue again. It ruins the weeks statistics and it’s comparison with the previous week so in that respect is completely useless.
This time it may be my new phone and not the Fitbit Blaze but I have no issues with any other devices.
Enough is enough I give up it’s getting very boring. The Fitbit is going, I’ve had it I think 18 months I’ve had my money’s worth out of it, it owes me nothing, but I just cannot be bothered with something that takes up so much time.
Thanks for the help given in the past, your time is appreciated.
Kind Regards
M
