Blaze battery drain

Hi, I have had my blaze almost 6 months, worked great.  Recently I got a metal mesh band for it off Amazon.  Now the battery drains in less than a day. 

I have noticed that if the watch is in that band, the watch never shuts the screen off like it does in the standard band, which explains the battery drain.  Anyone else experiencing this?  Any ideas why a band would make the watch not "sleep"?  It wouldn't be a big deal if the band wasn't so much more comfortable than the standard band.

I have no idea why a band would do that. But I would be looking for another one
