Blaze battery issues

I'm on my second Blaze with similar issues to my first.  The first Blaze ran out of battery within a couple of days when it usually would last 4-5 days (after over a year of no issues), then it refused to charge.  I have attempted to put it on the charger dozens of times and it would boot up and appear to charge but never does.  As soon as I remove it from the charger it would shutdown (screen blank).  Button press shows the low battery icon and blanks out again.  Back on the charger and the same thing happens.  Reset does nothing.  If I put it on the charger so it boots up, then pull it off it will stay on for about 30 seconds before dying again.  This allows me time to try to reset, but reset only gets as far as shutting down without starting back up.  The warranty period was well expired, so my wife bought me the second.

The second blaze, still in the warranty period, had the same symptoms as the first, except after trying to charge twice it got really hot.  I pulled it from the charger and it shutdown (blank screen) immediatly and then refused to power on even if I put it back on the charger.  After a couple of weeks sitting on my desk, I put it back on the charger and was surprised that it started charging again.  Now the battery lasts less than a day and dies again.  I tried to reset (left button and lower right button hold) several times but nothing is helping.

Since both of my Blaze products exhibit the same issue and have become unstable I would like to get the second one replaced under warranty.  I can't justify spending more money on a third... and I would like to keep competing for steps against the rest of my family again 😉

Welcome to the forums!

How are you charging it? Its best on the computer with a USB port

See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

But you need to contact support. Use the help link at top of forum

I usually have it plugged into a laptop, but I have tried via wall charger as well but no luck.

I am having the same issues, this was a replacement watch, which is about 2 months old. Battery died suddenly, then tried to charge it, didn't charge properly, and when I took it out of the charger it was very warm. Battery died again, tried to charge it again and this time it was hot, and the green lights were so so bright. Googled it to see if there was any solutions, tried turning the heart rate monitor off and re syncing, switching it off and then on again. Nothing has worked.  I would really appreciate getting help to fix this.
