Any idea if the Blaze will have better battery life than the Charge HR?  I'm on my 2nd one of those in less than a month and the battery life is pretty horrific.

Just got 8 days....wondering what all the problems are?

Agreed.....I got 4 days on my 1st charge and now I am at the flashing red after 6 days with my Blaz's 2nd charge.  I've got the Hearbeat indicator on and I hit the indicator (deliberately; who knows how many times the LCD goes on inadvertently based on my arm motion) probably 1-2 times an hour.

I would like to know how much battery strength I have when it goes down to the single-red line and also when that line is flashing.  It appears that you have about 10-12 hours when it gets to single-red and maybe just a few hours when it flashes.  I'm guestimating since I haven't drained the battery all the way yet.  For all I know, the flashing-red singel-line could go for another 1/2 day, though I doubt it.

Is it OK to let the Blaze charge past it's 100% full time ?  Sometimes I may charge it before I go to sleep and not take it out of the charger until the next morning.

@Corvettekid Welcome.. to my knowledge and the email you should get from notifications is at the 20% remaining battery life.

I normally schedule the Blaze charge at midnight, and if I go to the bathroom during the night I will take the Blaze off the charger and put it back on my wrist.

At that stage before charging I have about 5 days and then 15 hours of solid red before the charge. I have never got to the flashing red battery icon.

I'm wearing it 24/7, have turned off quick view, notifications are on, and all day sync off and I only sync when I need to via the Android or allow the PC to pickup the sync.  Just tap when I need data. I don't use the other features and rely on my Fitbit One for timed activities and then I create Activity records afterwards on the Blaze for comparisons.

I only had 24 hours after one of the charges, and I realised I was doing a full day in the garden, had a sweat band over the Blaze and the quick view was on and with my hand movement the view was probably coming on for every movement I made.  Pruning, sawing, raking, digging and weeding.  Since then with the quick view off, and doing the same activities I have not had the premature battery drain.

On a lighter side, the Blaze had me on an Outdoor Bike, Elliptical and Sport. and when you analyse my body movement it was correct, but I didn't go anywhere.  The joy of wrist trackers.

@Jgred Excellent effort. I will run mine down as well and see the margin we have.

That long ?  Wow...... do you have Heartbeat and Quick View on and Auto Sync ? I turned Auto Synch off now.

I guess if it never comes on when you have Quick View it can last alot longer if the only time the LCD screen comes on is if you manually activate it.

I wonder how long the Blaze battery lasts if the screen were continuously lit.......?

Not sure how to quote a reply...

Quick view is off, autosynch is on. Never liked quick view - I just push the button when I need info.

When I first got the blaze I could go about 5 days without charging now, I can barely make it 24 hours. I will have to return because I'm losing a lot of my activity monitoring!

Mine lasts for 5+ days. Check that the latest upgrade did not mess with your previous settings.

From my own experience (Charge HR and Blaze), QuickView drains your battery fast. Make sure it is off.

Another possibility: a lot of notifications (lastest upgrade expanded list of apps that can push notifications on Blaze).

My settings:

QuickView: OFF

HeartRate: AUTO

Brightness: NORMAL

All-Day Sync: ON (ouch... It was OFF and I do not remember setting it to ON)

I will definitely check to see if this works for me; thank you!!!

I have been having an agent follow up with my Blaze battery life, Reference # 14858804.  Charging now after one week.  I have had to discontinue the heart track, exercise option and notifications to keep it charged for a week. Is this normal?

@ColoradoSun I have been using Fitbits for over 5 years now. My testing shows that with each release of a product there is a loss of batttery life because of all the features now incorporated. I'm now using my Blaze 24/7 and averaging 3.5 days of charge before the Low Battery notification.

Last April I was getting 5 days see this link.

I wasn't using the notifications back then and didn't have the 250 steps system. Now I'm happy with the 3.5 days because of the information I'm receiving on the Blaze. I'm now using the Notifications because I upgraded my Android to the latest Sony and it is working perfectly with the interface to the Blaze.

I have set..

Notifications On

HR is Auto

I'm using all silent alarms to help remind me of the 250 step/hour. See this link to have better vibration for that option.

Quick view off

Full sleep tracking

Exercise option filtered and set 90 minute to those I'm not interested in.

I am having to recharge my blaze everydayI help

I've unfortunately have found my device goes from fully charged and then once the battery hits around 75% seems to rapidly discharge to flat in 5-6 hours.  Another thing I've noticed in recent firmware vs. Original was that a loss of battery power kept time on device vs. Recent updates that require a sync to get time back. Should this be an RMA?

Mine started like this, but at 6 months I can't get more than 2 1/2 days out of it now. I have all notifications and quick view off.

I have a brand new one. 1.5 days and it's already in the orange battery level wise.

Wish I had done my research.

Rip off.
