my Blaze wont hold a charge for more than a few hours. I have done all the suggestions and still it wont hold a charge. I wish I could just get my money back at this point. I  have had different types over the years always upgrading.

Hi @SunsetRunner  the Blaze was discontinued in 2019, so the battery is getting older in yours. Is this a recent purchase? Guess you've tried restarting the device a few times? It's the first thing to do when there is a problem.

Comments below on aged battery has some validity, but I know my Blaze received an update and started burning burning through the full chard in 6 or so hours.  I even shut off features to see if that would help,  no luck.  Did resets with no change.  I then went out and purchased a new battery and replaced it.  Booted up as normal, synced and all feathers worked, but it still ran through the charge in 6 or so hours.  This blame is on their engineers pushing updates that are not compatible with older devices.   The help response to me was  you may just need to replace unit.  This is my 4th Fitbit and based on support will be my last.

Why can't the battery be replaced like a watch? It seems Fitbit makes this all to difficult.

Can the battery be replaced? My Blaze is old and after many years it is finally not holding a charge. I've had many different fitbit models but the Blaze lasted the longest. Of course they discontinued the Blaze Model. They couldn't make money.

Hi @Connie100  there are places online that replace batteries and one place I've seen actually offers a service where they replace the battery for you. You'd have to decide if the price of the battery or the service is worth it to you. The Blaze, being discontinued, may not always get firmware updates in the future.

Thanks for your reply on the Blaze. I suspected that Blaze was in many
Fitbit's best--
for me anyway, since all I want are the basic features of steps, total
distance, calories, floors
etc. I've found that if I keep recharging it seems to be re igniting the
battery and the charge
holds longer.

I too have this problem with blaze. It's been months actually so I just took it off and left it disappointed that nothing I did helped.when I put it in the charging port, it shows as fully charged almost immediately.  I've had a few online chats with the help centre gone through all the troubleshooting and their response was 'looks like it reaching the end of its life.'

Sent me a discount code (which has now ran out) for money off a new fitbit.

Find it Interesting that someone in this thread said they managed to replace the battery,  so I was considering it an option but they went on to say it was still losing it's charge quickly.

I'm gutted,  because I know the tracking helps me stay motivated. Really don't have the funds to get a replacement not sure what do do now

Hi @BickersH  my own Blaze stopped charging and died, too. Since funds aren't there right now, why not use MobileTrack? It is from Fitbit and it's put on your mobile device to track your activity. click for more information

Thanks, for your reply. I, too, really like my Blaze, the relative
simplicity of it--
I really just need steps, mileage, time and maybe calories--I don't use it
for email
updates and the like, that's what my phone is for. So, I'm in the groove of
re-charging
it usually 2 times a day. It takes about 45 minutes to recharge.
The problem doesn't seem to be the battery, so I'm told, Also I don't see
Fit Bit stores like
I used to around.
Good luck.

Unfortunately I don't think this is an option for me as the charge seems to be lasting moments rather than hours 😕 so it's very disappointing
