Blaze bike recording

My Blaze is not accurately tracking my bike rides.  Its takes a few times to get it to connect to my phone and then just stops tracking in the middle of my ride.  Because I know the area and distance I am riding, I know I rode 13 miles today, but the Blaze says I only rode 5 miles.  How can I get it to stay connected my entire ride?

A warm welcome to the Community @HeatherHelv. How are you logging your biking? Are you logging it with SmartTrack or by selecting the activity directly from the tracker? In this type of activities, I recommend logging your exercises with the SmartTrack feature. If you haven't try it, please do.

My Blaze is still not recording my actual miles.  I tried what was recommended but it only recorded 7 out of 13 miles I rode this morning.  Any other tips would be appreciated.
