My brother has a fitbit blaze. He has had it since August of 2016. We wore it all the time until he lost it in October 2016. He just found it yesterday, February 6, 2017. He was trying to connect it to his phone again but it would not sync because it has an update it needs but when he tries to update it, it gets half way then cuts out. Why won't the blaze connect or update?? He has an iPhone 6 and he has the 10.2.1 ios.

Try to restart

Turn Blue tooth off. Shut down Phone go back in and let Fitbit find Blue tooth and try the update again.
Works for me most times

I tried. I shutdown the blaze and turned it back on, that did not work. I also disconected it from the app and now it won't connect back to the app.

A warm welcome to the Community @jakdoglover and @WendyB thanks for stopping by.
If you are having problems updating your tracker, as recommended please restart the device and check if your iOS Fitbit app is updated by following @MarreFitbit's instructions in the How do I update the Fitbit app for iOS? post. If everything is fine, then you can follow the steps in the How do I update my tracker's firmware? post.
Let me know how it goes.
