Blaze counting calories when not even wearing.

I have the Fitbit blaze and it works well except it counts rediculous amounts of calories even when not wearing or not be active on average it gives me 2500 - 3000 calories a day which is a ridiculous amount I want to know if there is a way to set it to just count my active calories and accurately.

If I understand it right, the calorie counter is set to your basic metabolism with regard to age weight and gender. It will record this number whether you wear it to not. It will record these calories used whilst you are asleep or when you are not wearing it.

It does, however, record more calories used when you are exercising,

I presume there is an algorithm that you can access to alter these base figures, but I would suggest easiest way is the leave the watch off for 24 hours and see what your base rate is and then subtract that from your daily record to show what the exercise value is.
