Blaze counting extra steps while moving arm up down

Hi, I recently bought Fitbit Blaze. I noticed since I bought that it is counting extra step when not moving. Today I notice and checked why it happened and found that when I moved my arm up down it also counts my steps which I don't understand why because it is giving false information. So how to configure it right. If it stays same then how to return it as in this condition I will not like it. Please suggest.

Thanks

Your fitbit tracks steps by detecting movement of the tracker (i.e. your wrist) and then working out whether that movement was the result of a step or just random arm movement. It's not a precise science and it can get it wrong.

The following help file explains this in more detail and explains what we can do to minimise false steps:

If the level of accuracy remains an issue for you then the return process is via the shop you bought it from.
