Blaze counting too many steps

Can someone help me, I first had a Fitbit charge, which counted way to many steps when I wasn't doing anything, and now I have a Fitbit Blaze and it's doing the same thing! I have tried changed the arm, the step length and restarting it which doesn't make a difference! I walk downstairs and it says I've done 300 steps when it's really not a lot! Sorry about the rant- I hope someone can help!

Hey there @Coletteaj, welcome to the Community!

 

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. If your tracker isn't being accurate, I recommend restarting it a couple of times more by doing the following:

 

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

 

After the restart process, walk 100 steps and let me know how many the Blaze recorded.
