Blaze dattery draining within 10 hours

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The battery life on my Blaze has been deteriorating over time, however has dropped quite significantly recently (i.e. 10 hours is the max I'm getting from it).  I keep my bluetooth turned off and the brightness on my watch face is set to auto.  I've had it almost three years so I am coming to accept that the batter may be coming to the end of its useful life 😞 . Can I get a battery replacement and if so, how much does this cost?

Thanks,

G

scrawnmcq,

Is your Fitbit still under warranty? If so, you should consult Fitbit first.  The warranty is apparently 1 year in the U.S., 2 years in Europe.

If not, you can buy a replacement battery and $10-$20 seems to be the going rate, depending upon where you get it. If you're handy with small tools and can do delicate work, including soldering, you can replace it your self. Here's one video of the process and I believe they even offer a service where they'll replace it for you, for a fee. I am NOT endorsing them, just giving them as an example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxcdbfow_qY

iFixit has a good website with good info too! https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Fitbit_Blaze

I've had my Fitbit apart, and it's not too difficult IF you have good eyes, a magnifier, the right tools (#3 Torx Screw driver and a #000 Phillips Screwdriver), a pair of steady hands and patience. But I have had a lot of work with electronics throughout my life, so this wasn't my first delicate electronic operation.

Good Luck,

~Rick
