Biked 35 minutes today. Fitbit allowed zero active minutes. What’s up?

A warm welcome to the Community @Mflynn202.

Could you tell me how are you logging your activities? Are you logging them manually, using SmartTrack or selecting the activity directly from the tracker? If you logged an activity manually, I recommend deleting it since it might cause some discrepancies in your information.

Hope to hear from you soon. Robot Happy

I selected the activity directly from the tracker

Tonight I did spinning for 90 minutes and logged it manually. No active minutes. Yesterday I biked 35 minutes tracking from my Blaze. No active minutes. Not solved. Still a problem.

Thanks for the update @Mflynn202. Have you tried to restart your Blaze? If you haven't, I recommend restarting it by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Let me know how it goes. Robot Happy

Rebooted my blaze. Last night I did spinning for 65 minutes and logged it manually. No active minutes. Today I biked 40 minutes tracking from my Blaze. No active minutes. Not solved.

Your solution did not fix the problem. Any other ideas?

Dear Alejandra. My fitbit did nod recorded my weights activity yesterday. I have the fitbit blaze and I am not happy. Restarted the fitbit last night and woke up with 400+ calories burnt. I can't see even how I can manually record my activity.

Welcome to the Community @Paula-Milena.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. About the calories, the value that you see on your Blaze when you wake up in the morning is your estimated calorie burn for the day so far. You still burn calories even if you have been sedentary or were sleeping. Your tracker estimate your calorie burn based on your age, gender, height and weight.

Now about the active minutes, keep in mind that in order to earn active minutes, you need to be doing a high intense activity. Doing weights is an intense activity where your heart focuses on sending blood to a specific part of the body, making it intense for the specific area you're working, while doing cardio-type exercises require your heart to pump blood to your whole body, making it to effort more, therefore, making it a high intensity activity overall making your heart to pump faster.

For more information about this, take a look at the What are active minutes? article.
