Blaze died/black screen wont turn on

I got my blaze for christmas 2016. On sunday morning this past weekend I took it off after work and it had a half full battery. I went to sleep and got up and went to put it on and it was dead and the screen was black and continues this way even after attempting to charge it. Suggestions? Help?

This happened recently to me - well it was similar. I shut it down and took it off for a bit and then it wouldn't turn on even when I put it in the charger. I ended up holding down the "On" button and the bottom right button to reset it. Hold it down for a really long time until the logo shows. I tried holding the one button down too for a while - resetting I think worked but just try holding buttons down for a long time like 15-20 sec....it might work.

As our friend @jpear404 mentioned, a restart procedure might work, to restart your Blaze you just need to do the following:

 

  1. Press and hold the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

I tried the restart sequence. It did not work.

I tried this today and the logo reappeared but it said the battery was dead after it had been charging all day. I will keep it on the charger to see if it comes back to life for good. Thanks for sharing!!
