Blaze display says "fitbit.com/setup"

I connected my new Blaze, and it's recognized in my fitbit account. The battery is charged and I've plugged in my toggle. My Blaze still says "fitbit.com/setup" and has no other screen. I cannot swipe either. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Did you figure this out? I've been fighting with my Fitbit for hours and and am ready to throw in the towel.

The Fitbit is fully charge. I think the difference between myself and some of the other people here are that this is my first Fitbit, so I have no devices posted in my account, so I can do no updating of anything, as that is not an option I see. I tried to use my phone to set it up, but is does not see the Fitbit. I have an Android Moto Z Play phone, so I'm not sure if that's problem. I tried to set up the Fitbit on my PC, but it requires some special dongle which I am not inspired to purchase, as I have no faith that will work. Bummer.

i can't find click for updates, i have been on here nearl 3 hrs looking for this, I now kknow battery level of the device, but apart from that which fades after i tap button it doesn't have display on the screen.

This thing is more trouble than its worth 1st - I couldn't undo strap, then do it up - so put a knife blade in wholes and fixed that.

2nd - I couldn't sync it - still can't but getting there.

3rd - Nothing on display - i figured out where the button was and i know the battery is practically full, and it keeps telling me on the screen to go to fitbit set( guess what Mr fitbit - i have been here for the last 3 hours!!.

I m itching to put it on but i still need to sync it. AWWW this is soo frustrating

My phone is not supported by the fit bit software, so I had to use a laptop with Bluetooth capability to set it up. If you have a tablet or computer was th blubetooth, download the Fitbit app to your computer, then try to set it up from there. I was about ready to return my Fitbit, then I got on a support chat and got it figured out. Good Luck!

@Woolywings may I ask what type of device are you using to set up your Blaze.

Although you mention having trouble finding the button and I wonder if this is really a Charge 3

To setup the tracker first go to the fitbit.com/setup using the device you want to setup the tracker through.  This page will have a link that will direct you to the proper Fitbit app for your device.

You will need to install and run the Fitbit App, choose the I have an account and your login details.

You should then see an option to add a device.

If your still having issues please include the type of phone or computer that your using to set it up with. Also any info as to what step and error messages that you see.

Also the Fitbit help docs may be useful.

How do I set up my Fitbit device?
Set up and get started using your new device.
Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
Make sure your phone, tablet, or computer meets all the requirements for getting started with your Fitbit device

Hi there @Tlukey73 @Larken990 @Woolywings, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

@Tlukey73, I think the problem is that your phone is not compatible. The Motorola Moto Z Play is not listed as a compatible device for syncing.

When it comes to devices compatibility, due to Bluetooth issues that prevent certain devices, like Fitbit devices from syncing, our products aren't compatible with the following phones:

Huawei P8 Lite
Huawei P9 Lite
Huawei P20 Lite
Xiaomi Mi 6

For all other devices, if they're not on the list of compatible devices, you might be able to sync with them but we don't guarantee that the functionality will be optimum as we are still testing on these phone models and due to the large number of Android and Windows devices, our team has not yet tested all of them. We're continually adding more devices and improving our compatibility, so if you don't see your device on the list check back soon.

To use the Fitbit app you must have one of the following operating systems installed on your phone or tablet:

Apple iOS 10 or higher
Android OS 5.0 or higher
Windows 10 version 1607.0 or higher

Alternatively, you can use the Fitbit app for Windows 10 on your computer, or use Fitbit Connect to sync with a Mac or Windows 8.1 computer to access your data and take advantage of the many features of your Fitbit device.

To see the full list of the devices that are compatible, click here.

@Larken990 what exactly is going on with your tracker?

@Woolywings, I'm sorry about that. Have you checked that your phone is compatible for syncing with your Fitbit Blaze? If not, see the link above and check if your phone is compatible or not.

If you guys need more help, feel free to let us know!
