Blaze display won't do anything while in wristband

I just bought my Blaze yesterday. The display won't turn on and it won't even do a hard reset in the wristband. It will show when plugged into the charging cradle. I went through the set up and update all while in the charger and it is paired to my phone. As soon as I pop it out of the charger it just goes black and doesn't show anything. Help I really want to use it!

That does sound very strange and I'm sorry that your tracker is not working as it should 😕

 

I'd like to know... when you put it in the cradle, what do you see on the display, is it a charging battery icon and are you able to after that see the clock face or is it anything else that appears on the screen?

 

Just to be sure, please make sure you're restarting your tracker by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

The left button or a firm touch to its face activates the screen @Dmiglucci

To figure out if it is your Blaze or your band cage, press the left button and the lower right button and hold until your tracker vibrates, after the fitbit logo fades away does the left button light up the clock face?  If yes, it is your band cage or how you have your tracker snapped in the band, if no, it is your tracker - either way customer support is anxious to offer more options, give them an opportunity to chat. Be sure to let them know what you've tried...

When it is the cradle it is a fully charged battery symbol and the clock face. I pressed the left single button and the lower right button together both in the band and out of the band and it does nothing. It doesn't vibrate or reboot. The only time I see anything is when it is in the cradle.
