The Charge screen is plastic while the screen on the Surge and Blaze are Gorilla Glass 3. It should be far more durable. I have been wearing my Surge for over a year now with no noticeable scratches.

No scratches on the Surge screen either since about a year of usage, using extensively.

How does the Surge stack up to very cold whether? I'm guessing the Blaze will be about the same. Does the surge do very good in cold whether? Slow down, condensation etc? kills battery faster?

My Surge went through last winter fine. The watch being against the arm, and most likely under a sleeve will buffer the temperature swings.

Good to hear. I have been reading a lot of topics about the Surge getting condensation on the inside of the screen and started to get worried. I don't excersise outside when it's cold but I do have to go outside for like 20+ mins everyday as long as it's not -0 and I can get active depending on what I'm doing and was worried about condensation.

An interesting video on garella glass 3, while i don't put much faith in the compare to the other phones glass, I find it interesting that the glass withstood the the same force that bent an aluminum plate of the same thickness.

I purchased my Blaze on March 2nd. I have been using it for 7 days, charged twiced. I already have 3 tiny scratch marks on the face, and the silver parts of my band have scratch marks too. I am a little disappointed in the durability and quality. I usually don't damage my things, like the phone that I have for 2 yrs still don't have a single scratch mark on the screen (I don't even have a phone case). Anyway, I do like the function of Blaze more than Charge. Just don't know how long the screen will last.

I don't care what they say.. Gorilla glass.. blah blah. Everything I owned like a phone or a watch has scratched. The Blaze will be no different. Buy a screen protector for it. The Charge is the first for scratches. I bought screen protectors for it but they ended up falling off after a while. Sure enough the same day my last one fell off...scratches on the screen.

I feel your pain! Barely a month old and I have scuffed up the top edge of my blaze quite badly. The screen is still good though. Just wished fitbit had come up with a better protective edge since its meant for daily wear.

I have only had my Fitbit blaze for about a month now and it's already scratched!!! I'm the most careful person with my electronics. It's already got a great big scratch right on the top! Hope this helps

The front side plastic got hit on a corner of a wallit left a gash and almost broke my glass. Luckily my screen protector protected the screen, but not the plastic.
