Blaze erasing my active minutes.

I recently switched to the Fitbit Blaze.  Several times this week, I've thought it should have recorded active minutes, but it didn't.  Today, I was on a walk, at 13 minutes of activity, I saw the display reset to 0 minutes.

When I check my log, it shows I was on a 32 minute walk, but only 18 active minutes.

A warm welcome to the Community @SunsetRunner. Are you manually logging any type of activity that might be taken away your active minutes, like walking or running? If you are, I recommend deleting that logged activity in order to have your active minutes back.

Now, keep in mind that you earn active minutes depending on the activity that you are doing. You need to be constant on it, this means that if you are walking but you stop in the second 58 that minute won't count as active. For more information, take a look at our What are active minutes? article.

Here's what I found, posting here so it may help others.

When I had started my walk, I forgot to turn on the heart rate monitor, shortly before my minutes disappeared, I turned the HR on, because "AUTO" seems to actually mean OFF, when it picked up my heart rate, that's when it thought I had started my activity.  At least, that's what it looks like looking at the graph.

I have also found since turning on the heart rate monitor, other things work like expected.  My sleep monitor works, my hours with activity (250 steps) works.

I do not use more than one tracker or manually input things it missed.

I have also found that if I'm pushing a cart in a store, it doesn't record steps, probably because my had is stable on the cart.  I have yet to mow my lawn with it, I'm hoping it will work, my lawn isn't smooth.
